Total raised last season £370

Another year done, not good as the weather was poor, public don't walk to station as they work from home, school children now driven to school down the road, and worst of all neighbour parked transit van outside house for whole of December whilst he went abroad for the whole of Christmas & New Year. Net result was a collection for Help for Heroes was only £300 and not the normal £500 plus, but as H4H say they are grateful for anything.
Plans are underway for this year some more hi density props to replace my tired home built models. Very pleased with new Baldrick boards meaning less cable through porch window. And the two ran fautlesley though the seasonAlso plan to extend the tablet connection to my show.
Watch this space as possibly going to add two videos of last years show!

January 2024
Yes we were late running. Health & tech issues caused the delay this year. Display was up and running at HA2 9NE from 15:00 -21:30 every day till January 6th 2024. Changes this year are:-
- Star missing from top of tree this has become very heavy over the years and the decision had to be made not to use it as there were only two of us this year. I have had a major Hernia operation and lifting has been limited.
- I added this year the 6 button unit (Designed by Greg of Berrygreen & ELF). This allows you to play your choice from the menu of 6 sequences with sound.
- Contactless collection is back and running £4 a tap.

December 11th 2020 Display
I am afraid due to the current situation and another project that has taken up a lot of time I am not able to put up my full display this year. A big disappointment as I spent the first lockdown repairing and planning the 2020 display.
So all I have up at present is the tree and the re built star (more may be added if I get time). I am still collecting for Help for Heroes but fear as the footfall along our road is very low donations will not be forthcoming. I have set up a Just Giving page . Final total was an amazing £600

The story of my displays
2020 will be my 6th year and the plan will be to support Help for Heroes again. Although with the state of the world we might have to amend our plans.
2020
Will see a complete re building of my mega tree no new LED's added (total 1,104) the improvement will be the alignment of the LED's. Also major work being done on my star after the total failure in week one of 2019 due to rain damage and an error in building it.
Watch these pages to see a switch on announcement. All will be welcome to come and view. Cancelled.

The 2017/2018 show is over
The lights were switched off on 6th Jan 2018 were be taken down on the Monday. The display has fared well in high winds, snow and rain but it appeared we did have a small fire at the top of the Big tree. The sum of money donated to Help For Heroes was £500.00 + we thank all our supporters.
